Cran-Apple Slaw

Crisp, clean and creamy.  This coleslaw satisfies in all seasons.  Reds, greens and oranges are appetizing colours and a secret CANADIAN ingredient makes this recipe over the top delicious.

Prep Time: 10 minutes                            Refridgerate (optional): 1 hour   Serves: 8                                                      Serving Size: 3/4 cup


  • 1 (14 oz bag) cabbage slaw mix
  • 1 apple, chopped
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onions
  • 1/3 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp maple-syrup

Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl. Mix together the mayo and syrup until blended. Add to cabbage mixture; mix lightly. Refrigerate (optional) at least 1 hour before serving or up to 24 hours.

Darling Daughter’s Notes:  ‘Again with the cranberries mom?  I had this salad with walnuts instead of cranberries.  Sometime (rather than use our own apples) I like picking a different variety of organic apple at the store to change the flavour a little.’
